Commissions

If you would like to commission me to paint an original oil on canvas, here’s what needs to be done.

1. Decide on the scene you want painted and provide me with photos or I will take my own photos to use as reference if I’m able to. I can combine images, add or delete items etc. and will work with you on what you have in mind.
2. Once we agree on a scene and have discussed exactly what you want in the painting, I will send a contract stating the details of the painting and will need 50% up front before I begin my detailed drawing and 50% when the painting is finished. The drawing can take up to a week to finish, depending on the size. If I have questions during this process, I will contact you to make sure everything is what you expect.
3. Once the drawing is complete, I will send photos for your approval and begin painting once this is done. I will make changes at this point if needed.

Depending on the size, a detailed oil painting generally takes 3-6 weeks. I will be sending you a few photos of my progress as I go along. When I feel it is complete, I will send a final photo for your approval. I will need final payment before I ship the original oil painting or I will deliver it if you live in southern California!
